Defibtech defibrillator pads have a picture on their package showing how the pads are to be placed on a Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) victim. One is placed next to the right shoulder and the other is placed below the right breast and halfway around the side to the back.

Philips defibrillator pads are also pictured and are placed the same. Children’s pads are placed  on the front of the sternum and the other is directly on the middle of the back. Defibtech’s childrens’ pads are also placed that way.

Zoll has a one piece pad which is placed over the sternum and the tail pieces fall in the correct positions. Their pediatric defibrillator pads are 2 piece with pictures for correct positioning. They also are placed one on front and one on back.
