Zoll defibrillators are small and light weight, making them very attractive to responders who don’t want to carry a twenty pound weight up three flights of stairs on top of their other equipment. Zoll’s smallest model is one-third the size of other devices and weighs 5 kg..
Zoll is a leading manufacturer of automated external defibrillators. They have a state of the art management system, assessment process with advanced monitoring,a common operating system, and minimize training necessity.
These portable defibrillators are easy to use for non medical personnel. A push of the button and instant verbal instructions in CPR and Defibrillation. If that is not enough, diagrams are printed with step 1,2 etc for easy viewing.
If a shock is not needed in the assessment of the victim , the defibrillator will not let the responder give it. The Zoll AED Plus is the defibrillator with the CPR and Defibrillation instructions, the others just give the defibrillation process.
The company prides itself on quality,in technology and simplicity for public use.
The Zoll AED Plus defibrillator offers a special feature. It will not only delivers a shock to the victim when needed it will also give the user voice prompts going through all the steps of CPR and reinforce resuscitation proceedure. You will also receive feedback to help you perform more efficiently.
The audio and visual prompts provide confidence to the responder, clarity in performance, and certainty in your actions. The Zoll AED Plus defibrillator even has a metronome to aid in rhythm and rate of compressions. The display will alert you to the correct depth of compressions.
Most AEDs have 2 electrodes attached to pads which are placed separately on the victim and are attached to the defibrillator. Zoll AED has a special onepiece pad and electrode which fits over the apropriate areas making it simpler to attach to the defibrillator and the victim.
The defibrillator also has special pads for children under 8 years. With these child/infant pads the defibrillator will adjust itself to give a shock apropriate to the child. Simplicity and technology at its best.
The Zoll AED Pro Simulator is an accessory for the Zoll AED Pro or Plus Defibrillator. It is used to test or train a person in how to use the defibrillator. It can be plugged in to either the Pro or Plus model.
The Zoll AED Simulator/tester gives an ECG rhythm simulation,CPR simulation, and a Rhythm conversion after shock.
Zoll also offers a Zoll AED Plus Training unit which lets students practice real device operation using AHA training scenarios.Identical graphical interface is used with audio and visual prompts which mimic the AED Plus in look and operation. Screen messages and audio voice prompts guide the user from all aspects of the sudden cardiac arrest. That includes the arrival on the scene, calling for help, administering CPR, and shock delivery. A hand held remote allows the instructor to choose from 8 preprogrammed AHA scenarios and a manual scenario function, plus an “Attach Pads”, “Low Battery”,and a “Call for Service” simulations. The Training unit is powered by 6 “C” cell batteries. These accessories would make you more comfortable in using a defibrillator in a real situation.
the Zoll Pro AED supports Basic Life Support as well as Advanced Life Support. An LCD display lets responders see a patient’s ECG by using a 3-lead cable.
A special real-time feedback mechanism called ‘Real CPR Help” on the Zoll defibrillator allows rescuers to visualize and hear how well they are performing the rate and depth of chest compressions during CPR. The mechanism has a metronome set at AHA standards of 100 BPM and guide the rescuer in his/her rhythm of compressions. A voice prompt will also guide them with depth accuracy in the compressions. See thru CPR, another innovation, allows the professional rescuer to view the ECG rhythm when the AED is in manual mode and the chest compressions are being performed.
Military medical personnel face special problems on the battlefield when faced with sudden cardiac arrest(SCA) or trauma. Those who protect and serve deserve our very best efforts, the latest technologies, and the best equipment because the environment and missions can be tough on humans and equipment alike.
Durability, ruggedness, and advanced functionality are all part of the Zoll aed. It has leading resuscitation technologies for our service men and women. Zoll aed plays a key role in initiatives for the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, and the Veterans Administration in electronic patient records.
The very same qualities of a Zoll aed also apply to us. We want the best for our families, ourselves, and our devices or appliances should be the best we can afford.
My father hasn’t missed a trip to hunting camp in 60 years, and he wasn’t about to stay home this year either. Unfortunately, his health has deteriorated a bit late in life, and he now has a history of cardiac arrest. Earlier this month, I took him in to the doctor’s office to ask his trusted physician about the prospect of traveling out to camp. We were advised that it would be smart to bring along an automatic external defibrillator.
So, we packed up all the usual supplies – the venison jerky, ginger ale, camouflage clothing, knives and rifles – and drove off to meet up with the others at camp. The moment my dad walked in the front door, he seemed 10 years younger. He started joking around with the rest of the guys while I set up the Zoll AED in case of emergency. I’m thankful that he can still enjoy life with the help of advanced medical technology.
